If you are not familiar with Sympatico, get ready for an education. We asked some experts (who happen to be members of Sympatico) what makes Sympatico, well…Sympatico. Here are the top five things you should know:
1.“It’s something you’ve never seen before!” ~Eddy, 2nd grade
Another Sympatico student agreed. “Where else will you see so many kids performing at once, the way we perform?”
2. “It’s a new experience where I can meet new people and learn new things. It’s so learn-able, you don’t even have to be a musician to start doing it.”~Salma, 4th grade
Salma is right. This is an experience where teachers and students alike welcome the new. Many students who join Sympatico have never played an instrument or taken music lessons before they join.
3. “It helps you get better at something you might already be good at.” ~Diarra, 4th grade
While Sympatico embraces the new, we also embrace experience. Sympatico has many students who have been playing an instrument or taking music lessons for years. Those students meet new challenges every day to keep their musical progress going!
4. “You can teach what you learn to other people.” ~Kimberly, 3rd grade
Boy, did other Sympatico students agree!
“Once you learn things in Sympatico, you should share it with everybody because it doesn’t do anybody any good to keep it to yourself,” says Eddy. Salma added, “Nobody here feels left out because we do everything together and share what we learn together.”
5. “I can be myself at Sympatico because it’s a happy place and I really enjoy doing it. I get to do what I love.” ~Hewen, 1st grade
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
